Kafe Ìwé is a community hub for literacy, blending book culture with hands-on learning and creative events across LA. We believe reading should be accessible, engaging, and woven into the fabric of everyday life.
Through partnerships with local bookstores, schools, and community organizations, we're building a movement that celebrates stories, strengthens digital literacy, and brings families together around the joy of reading.

Our Vision: More Than Just a Cafe
The name "Kafe Ìwé" translates directly to "Book Cafe" in Yoruba, a language spoken across West Africa. This name encapsulates our dual passion: providing a warm, inviting space for community connection and fostering a love for reading through accessible literacy resources.
Our long-term vision is to establish a multi-story physical hub in Los Angeles. This building will be a beacon of learning and community, designed with warm woodsy aesthetics, abundant live plants, and an atmosphere that makes everyone feel at home.
